During the 2015 Dental School graduation at Temple University this year, Dean Amid Ismail announced the creation of the Henry Schein Digital Center of Excellence. It will be equipped with the latest dental technological innovations such as computer-aided design and manufacturing solutions, digital radiography, and intraoral cameras. Programs have been slow to adopt newer technologies for restoring teeth because of the time required for clinicians to develop the eye-to-hand technique. But making the systems available as soon as possible is a great idea, especially since new dentists are coming into the field expecting a high level of technological assistance and advancement in their patient care.
